Hello! I'm Linda Romero. I understand learning differences firsthand and use a unique, individualized approach to support K-12 students with dyslexia. Beyond traditional curriculum, I ensure my students apply their learning to everyday life, fostering self-advocacy and resilience. I view success as a team effort, therefore, students' tenacity along with open communication with families is highly encouraged. I look forward to being a part of your child's success story!
At Bright Minds Read, Linda Romero, CALT, offers expertise and a unique personal understanding of learning differences.
Personalized Approach: Linda understands student anxieties because of her own journey with dyscalculia and teaches crucial self-advocacy skills.
Individualized Pace: With a "move as fast as we can, but as slow as we must" approach, instruction is tailored to each student's needs.
Holistic Focus: Unlike some dyslexia therapists who only focus on the curriculum, Linda ensures students can apply what they learn in their lives to fully realize their potential.
Valued Tenacity & Communication: Linda prioritizes working with students who demonstrate tenacity and families who are willing to communicate effectively about their child's learning.
Our vision is to work with families to provide children with dyslexia individualized, structured and prescriptive multisensory instruction, while helping them grow their confidence.
Each student’s success has been built on cultivating strong relationships with families and considering each student's individual needs. In order to help students build confidence, I teach with a “move as fast as we can, but as slow as we must” approach at the heart of my lesson planning and teaching. This means students can learn with the understanding that if they need extra practice in a concept, time can be taken in the schedule to do so without risking students falling behind in the upcoming concepts.
Teaching is tailored specifically to each child, and their each unique learning needs and pace. This extends to the use of any accommodations or modifications necessary to aid each student’s learning. This way, each student gets complete individualized instruction based on where they are in each area of the curriculum, and time can be spent strengthening weaker areas before moving on in an already cumulative curriculum before the student is ready.
"Miss Linda assessed, taught, and filled all the gaps. My child can read fluently and comprehend anything because of the skills and therapy. Now my child reads chapter books with enjoyment, is in the top quarter of their class, and has confidence. Miss Linda is not only a Dyslexia Therapist and a friend to the child, she is a mentor that helps build the child to feel successful."

"Under Ms. Linda's guidance, my daughter's grades began to soar, and her reading skills improved substantially. My daughter excelled in the state tests for every subject and received the prestigious 2024 Presidential Silver Award, among other recognitions. More importantly, her confidence has blossomed. She is no longer afraid to ask for help, understands her capabilities, and has learned how to navigate her dyslexia to excel both academically and in everyday activities."
